Should students study coding in school?

These days, many people say that students should study coding in school. They think coding is important for the future. However, I do not agree with this idea. I believe that not all students need to study coding, and there are better ways to use school time.

First, coding is not useful for everyone. Of course, some students may want to become programmers, but most students will choose other jobs. For example, if a student wants to be a teacher, a doctor, or an artist, they do not need to know how to code. For these students, spending too much time on coding is not very helpful.

Second, school schedules are already very full. Students have to study many subjects such as math, science, history, and languages. If we add coding classes, students will have less time for other important subjects. Some students may feel more stressed because they are forced to learn something they are not interested in.

Third, learning coding is difficult for some students. Not everyone enjoys using computers or writing code. If students are forced to study coding, they may feel bored or frustrated. I think students should have a choice. Coding can be an optional class for students who are really interested in it, but it should not be required for everyone.

In conclusion, I do not think all students need to study coding in school. It is not necessary for every job, and it can take time away from other important subjects. Also, it can make school life more stressful for some students. Coding should be an option, not a requirement. Schools should focus on helping students discover their own talents and interests.
