Have you ever seen doves at Seoksa Stream?

Some people enjoy seeing doves, while others are bothered by them. 

In 2009, the Department of Environment designated doves as a harmful wildlife species because of the unpleasant smell, feathers, droppings, and other problems they cause. However, there are still many doves at Seoksa Stream.

Why hasn't their population decreased?

According to Gangwon Daily News, one of the main reasons is that some people continue to feed

them. In Seoul, people can be fined for feeding doves. However, there is no such regulation

in Chuncheon. Altough there is no fine, Chuncheon people should avoid feeding doves because

it encourages their population to grow and makes the problem worse.
