Podiland Co., Ltd., a global leader in the creative education and knowledge industry, and the Institute for Mathematical Science and Creativity (CEO Yang Hyo-suk), and the Podiframe Society announced that they successfully completed the “Special Level 1 Creative Convergence (C-STEAM) Instructor Training for Kindergarten Principals and Education Experts from Bayanzurkh District, Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia” over four days from May 11 to 14 at the training room of their headquarters in Guri, Gyeonggi Province.
A total of 20 elite educational leaders—including eight kindergarten principals and ten teachers from Bayanzurkh District, as well as two educational supervisors and experts overseeing education policy—attended this third training session to gain a deep understanding of the essence of Korean-style creative convergence education.

4D Frame C-STEAM, incorporating traditional ‘interlocking’ principles, presents a new standard for Mongolian public education
Centered on the ‘C-STEAM’ model—which adds creativity (Creativity) to the existing STEAM education framework—this training consisted of 24 hours of intensive certification training over three days, followed by a one-day field visit program. The training went beyond theory, featuring ‘Project-Based Learning (PBL)’ hands-on activities where participants designed and built geometric structures using flexible straw-shaped connecting rods and connectors.
Notably, for this program, Korea’s most prestigious faculty in creative convergence—led by Park Ho-geol, Director of the Podi Mathematical Science and Creativity Research Institute and Yang Hyo-suk, CEO of Podiland Co., Ltd.—joined forces with Director Jo Gwang-hyun, Public Relations Team Leader Park Ha-neul, Education Team Leader Park Jeong-ho, and Professor Lee Su-yeon of Songwon University to provide mentoring and high-quality, practice-oriented lectures.

Participants were deeply captivated by the ‘Hands-on, Minds-on, Hearts-in’ customized educational process, which awakens the hands, mind, and heart simultaneously. Mongolian veteran directors, each with 25 to 30 years of extensive educational experience, praised the program after completion, calling it “an innovative experience that made us deeply reflect on the early childhood education we’ve been providing.” They added, “Even when compared to the educational systems of leading developed nations such as Russia, Germany, and the United States, Korea’s 4D-Frame-based C-STEAM education is the most inspiring and relatable, truly a one-of-a-kind educational program.”

Beyond a Simple Training Program: Establishing a Sustainable Foothold for ‘Degree Acquisition and International Competition Participation’
The 20 educational leaders who obtained official licenses through this training program will serve as key pioneers in spreading Korean-style convergent education across Mongolia’s public and private educational sectors. The enthusiastic response from the field is leading to concrete follow-up education plans that go beyond simply completing the training.
Upon returning home, the Mongolian training delegation decided to immediately establish plans for additional on-site training at the regional education office level to obtain the next-stage “Level 2 License.” Furthermore, to strengthen teachers’ capabilities, they solidified their educational solidarity by expressing interest in pursuing master’s programs at Korean graduate schools and sending their children to study abroad.
Additionally, in preparation for the “International Mathematical Science Creativity Contest (IMSCC)” to be held this October—hosted by the Convergence Science and Culture Foundation and co-organized by the Korea National University of Education—they have begun full-scale preparations in collaboration with schools at all levels and Mongolian education authorities to ensure local Mongolian students can participate.
“Globalization of K-Edu”... A New Paradigm for the Education Tourism Knowledge Industry in Partnership with Local Governments
The successful conclusion of this third training session demonstrated that Korea’s education knowledge industry has evolved beyond the simple export of teaching materials to become a national asset leading global public education solutions.
Yang Hyo-suk, CEO of Podiland Co., Ltd., who organized the training, stated, “This training serves as a decisive foothold for establishing Korean-style convergent education (K-STEAM) within Mongolia’s public education system.” She added, “Among 41 countries worldwide, Mongolia is the partner most actively embracing Korea’s educational philosophy, so I am pleased to contribute to elevating the status of Korean education.”
Podiland’s global educational initiatives are expected to accelerate further. The fourth training session for 37 participants is scheduled to begin on June 14, followed by the fifth session for 20 participants starting June 21, which will allow the company to achieve two-thirds of its annual goal of “attracting 200 Mongolian trainees” ahead of schedule.
In particular, the post-training program involving visits to various sites within the Korean education system—including kindergartens, elementary, middle, and high schools, universities, special education facilities, and senior centers—is garnering attention as a new business model that revitalizes the ‘local educational tourism knowledge industry’ through joint planning with local communities. This has heightened expectations among both the education sector and local governments.
